Introducing Out of the Vortex: A Memoir by Amy Whitehouse, now available on Ingram, Amazon, and the Paper and Seed store! Amy Whitehouse will host a private book launch for Out of the Vortex: A Memoir in her local city Phoenix, Arizona on the evening of June 7th, 2021.
Out of the Vortex: A Memoir by Amy Whitehouse follows Amy’s precarious journey to freedom from a destructive vortex of family alcoholism. Heartbreak, joy and compassion interweave with humor and despair as Amy precariously and resolutely finds her way to sobriety.
With poignant images from the Whitehouse family photo collection, each chapter presents its own enchanting time capsule of storytelling and grit. Captivatingly raw and masterfully rich with ardent characters, and vivid settings and dialogue, Out of the Vortex is an inspiring, relevant, page-turning read not only for memoir-lovers, but for all whose lives have been touched by the alluring perils of addiction.
“In this heartbreakingly candid and brave memoir, Amy shares her journey to sobriety. Born into a family locked in the dark spiral of addiction, she struggles to find solid footing in an unstable home. This memoir offers hope to all those working toward recovery.” —Susan Pohlman, Author of Halfway to Each Other and A Time to Seek
